Our Story

Our Heritage: The Story of TAMRA Copper & Spice

TAMRA began with a simple belief: the things we use every day — the water we drink, the spices we cook with — should be pure, honest, and made with care. So we went back to the source.

Copper, shaped by hand

Our copper and brass is hand-hammered by Punjab's master coppersmiths, using a craft that has been passed down for generations. In a world of machines and mass production, they still shape each vessel by hand — heating, hammering, and finishing metal the way their fathers and grandfathers did. Every piece carries the marks of that hand. No two are ever identical. When you hold a TAMRA bottle, you're holding a centuries-old North Indian craft kept alive.

Spice, ground with honesty

Our spices come from growers we trust, sourced for purity and ground in small batches. No fillers. No artificial colour. No polish to make them look prettier than they are. Just real turmeric, real chilli, real blends — full of the colour and warmth that good Indian cooking deserves.

Why "Tamra"

"Tamra" is the Sanskrit word for copper — a metal India has trusted for wellness and ritual since ancient times. It felt like the right name for a brand built on two of India's oldest gifts: pure copper, and real spice.

Pure Copper · Real Spice.
